Steven Boeger "Kitten" was a great friend of mine. He was the first person that I went to a Gay Bar with. He was the first Drag Queen I ever saw. My first love for a Drag Queen. He helped me when I was starting to be truthful to myself about who I truly was. No matter how far apart we were I always knew he was there for me. Without Steve, I would not be the person I am today, I would not be involved with South Georgia Pride. My dear friend left this earth on February 15, 2016. He fought a brave fight with cancer. I was able to tell him how much he meant to me and how much I loved him. Steve had a YouTube channel and he encouraged new Queens and gave advice. He also gave advice to the "baby gays". I want to cherish his memory and this scholarship is a wonderful way to do so
